‘HALAL AIRCRAFT’ BY BOEING

American aircraft producer Boeing is working on a design of ‘halal airplane’ after the demand of many airline companies majorly from Islamic countries.

SEATTLE – Boeing is designing masjid inside aircraft to offer ‘halal airplane’ to Muslim countries liking. Since the flight range of  wide-bodied aircraft are lengthen out to travel from from continent to continent for long hours like 15-16 hours, prayer times got in jam for Muslims who likes to pray on time.

Considering this situation, Boeing started working on new concept of ‘prayer rooms’ without decreasing the number of seats in aircraft to fulfill the demand of Muslims. The American aircraft producer company already progressed on this project using the place in optimum way not to decrease number of the seats.

 

AIRLINES LEAN TOWARDS AIRCRAFT WITH MASJID WITHOUT DECREASING THE NUMBER OF SEATS

”We are working on halal aircraft for a long time since we have received a lot of demand from the Muslim countries” said James Fullerton, the interior design engineer of Boeing Aircraft Company. ”We plan on designing masjid with sliding doors rather than curtains, where 2 people can pray at once, meanwhile without removing any existing seats” said, Fullerton.

 

EASY ACCESS TO PERFORM WUDU

On the other hand, Boeing is working on a places for Muslim travelers to take wudu easily. The company indicates the new concept of the cabins as new solution to fulfill Muslim travelers needs.

 

 

SPECIAL PLACE FOR FAMILIES WITH KIDS

Other than having masjid on board, Boeing is planning on another new interior concept for families with kids where the family can have specific comfortable place. This will be solution for parents to feed their kids easily while other guests are not hearing any children noise.

 

MALAYSIAN AIRLINES WAS TO FIRST TO APPLY

The first airline company to apply masjid on board was Malaysian Airlines that disclaimed the number of seats in their A380 aircraft. In need of demand, cabin crew were offering prayer rugs and informing the guests about prayer times & qibla. After Malaysian Airlines, Saudi Airlines, Etihad and Emirates was started the same implementation on aircraft. Including Turkish Airlines, many airline company is offering qibla direction on their entertainment system.

 

SAUDI AIRLINES WAS DISCLAIMED 6 – 9 SEATS

Saudi Airlines was disclaimed 6-9 seats  to create masjid at the back on 787 Dreanliner Aeroplane, that is covered with curtains. A380 and Boeing 787 aircraft of Etihad Airways were embodied electronic compass to show qibla according to geographic position. It was one of the biggest influence to receive the sympathy of the religious customers to have prayer accommodations on board by Etihad Airways.
